Look for this guy. When I add new things to a finished page, I’ll pop him in.  See Calendar page for an example.

I have begun entering items onto our Photo Gallery page.  A picture is worth a thousand words.

The Calendar Page holds a list of our meetings and activities.

What do I do to earn my Bobcat Badge? The FIRST badge I earn in Cub Scouting?

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 222!

Cub Scout Pack 222 has been chartered to the Maple East Elementary School PTA in Williamsville, NY since 1985. We are a part of the Indian Trail District of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council.  Williamsville is a village located in the Town of Amherst, northeast of Buffalo, New York.  Our Pack currently has 15 Scouts in 4 Dens.

What is the monthly time commitment for Cub Scouting?

Pack Meeting: 1 hour

Den Meetings: ~2 hours

Pack Activity: 1-2 hours

Time spent bonding with your son --- Priceless

Each month all the Cub Scouts in grades 1 through 5 meet for a Pack Meeting.  Our Pack usually meets on the 4th Monday, at the school, from 6:30 -7:30. Please see our calendar page for a specific date.  This is a time when the boys can come together and show off new skills, try new things and have fun!  We present awards and achievements earned by the scouts. The scouts often put on a skit or stunt for us and we do other activities and games, usually related to the theme of the month which is determined by the Boy Scouts of America. Siblings and family members are welcome to come and watch the festivities as well as partake in the games! This is not a mandatory meeting for the scouts, but it is a whole lot of fun!          Placeholder Image

Twice a month the scouts get together with other boys from their grade level/age for a Den MeetingFor about an hour each time, they work on their level’s achievements and other fun activities. The parents in each den get together to decide on a day and time that works best for them.

In addition to these, the pack also plans a “Pack Outing”.  This is like a field trip.  Almost always it is open to the entire family.  This is also an optional activity. For more details on outings planned for this year, please refer to the calendar page.

Once a month parents are invited to meet at the Rooks’ house to discuss pack business, & make plans for successful outings, activities and meetings.  These meetings are open to all parents and, to make things easier, many parents bring the whole family so both parents can attend. During the meeting the kids all play together with our kids and have a grand old time. These meetings usually occur on the second Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Thinking of joining our pack?  Stop by and check out any of our Pack Meetings. Boys can join at any age. While we do have open enrollment year round - a scout who begins in the fall will have the opportunity to do almost all achievements in his den meetings.

Cub Scouting is... fun with educational activities and lifelong values.  It provides endless bonding opportunities and helps parents to strengthen character, develop good citizenship, and enhance both mental and physical fitness in young boys.  Scouting is GREAT!
